Mr. Tim O'Connell
Principal

As the principal of Jacques Memorial School, I am both excited and honored to become a member of the Milford school community. I have been an educator for 23 years, initially as an elementary school teacher, and most recently as the principal of both Florence Rideout Elementary School and Lyndeborough Central School.  My wife Kristen and I reside in Milford, with our three sons.

My passion has been, and always will be, educating students. I am looking forward to sharing this passion for education, and my enthusiasm for learning with the young students at Jacques Memorial School.  As we begin the 2019-2020 school year, you will find me in the classrooms, hallways, or on the playground getting to know your child. With that in mind, you can expect that I will work diligently with teachers to ensure that our students are exposed to curriculum and instruction that is both engaging and challenging.  Jacques Memorial has a reputation for building a strong foundation for academic success with students. It is my hope to continue that tradition, strengthen, and build upon it.

Jacques School is committed to educating the “whole child.”  This aligns with my core belief that schools must work to provide an education that meets the social, emotional, and academic needs of each and every student.

My goals as principal include:

    • Build an engaging school community that provides a safe and nurturing learning environment where all students can learn and grow.
    • Lead staff in providing our students with a rigorous curriculum, and rich learning experiences that meet the needs of every student.
    • Ensure that every student reaches his/her full potential, and develops a strong foundation for learning and academic success.

These are goals that I cannot achieve without your support.  My vision incorporates all members of the Milford community, working together as partners in the education of our students. I know that Jacques Memorial School is a place where strong connections between home and school are built.   It is my wish to continue this spirit of collaboration. I will continue to build positive relationships with parents, families, and the community, as these partnerships are essential for the success of our students.

My door is always open.  I look forward to meeting and working with you.  Here’s to a great school year!
