Fundations
Fundations makes learning fun while laying the groundwork for lifelong literacy. Kindergarten students receive a systematic program in foundational skills. Fundations teaches reading, spelling and handwriting in a multisensory way that is appropriate for all students in kindergarten.
Using Fundations, kindergartners work on the following skills:
  • Letter formation
  • Phonological awareness
  • Letter sounds
  • Irregular words ("trick words")
  • Vocabulary 
  • Fluency
  • Comprehension
  • Spelling
  • Handwriting
 
KinderMath
KinderMath encourages the students to learn math through hands-on and engaging activities. These are just a few highlights of the KinderMath units; kids talking about math, kids using manipulatives, activities that are fun + engaging, and learning that requires critical thinking. In KinderMath, students work on the following skills:
  • Number sense
  • Sorting and classifying
  • 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional shapes
  • Counting on and back
  • Addition and subtraction to 10
 
Responsive Classroom
Responsive Classroom is a student-centered, social and emotional learning approach to teaching and discipline. It is comprised of a set of research, and evidence-based practices designed to create safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms and school communities for both students and teachers.
