Dear JMS Families,
We are rapidly approaching the end of March. It is amazing how during the month of March our weather changes! Signs of Spring are everywhere! If you have the opportunity to take a look at our garden boxes, you can see the bulbs planted by our students in the fall beginning to sprout.

Eat the Rainbow Challenge!
JMS is excited to celebrate National Nutrition Month by participating in the Eat the Rainbow Challenge throughout the month of March! Students are encouraged to try healthy fruits and vegetables that correspond to the color of the week. This initiative helps promote healthy eating habits and introduces students to a variety of nutritious foods. The Food Service Team at JMS will be offering choices during lunch in the cafeteria for students to try. We look forward to seeing our students embrace this challenge and discover new favorite healthy snacks!
- Blue/Green Week (March 24-31): Blueberries, honey dew, Broccoli, celery, kiwi cucumbers

2025-26 Kindergarten Registration
We had a very successful Kindergarten Registration Kick-off event last week! If you were unable to attend, parents and guardians can begin the student registration process through our POWER ENROLLMENT PORTAL, found on our district website, or by clicking on the link below:
2025-2026 JMS Kindergarten Registration
Parents can also bring the required documentation needed to complete the registration process to Jacques Memorial School between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.
In closing, I want to thank our families for your diligence in having your students at school on-time and well-prepared for learning each day. In addition, please continue to be mindful that our students’ academic day continues until dismissal. It is very important that students are not dismissed early unless an unavoidable appointment or emergency is involved as valuable instruction from the teacher can be missed.
I also want to take a moment to thank all of our parents and guardians for your continued support of our school community. Whether it's volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, or simply encouraging your child to do their best, your involvement makes a real difference.
Sincerely,
Tim O’Connell
Principal
