I enjoy the energy that a new year brings and am looking forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and resiliency. We continue to strive to work in partnership with you to make learning a successful and rewarding experience. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me regarding concerns and/or questions.

MES PTO Update: - Jenny Garby MES PTO President
It's time for the Milford Elementary School Read-A-Thon!

Our school Read-A-Thon begins on Thursday, February 1, 2024, and is sure to be a fun and exciting event.

We understand that your time is valuable. We also know that providing the best education for your child is important. That's why we are encouraging everyone to activate their student's Read-A-Thon account as soon as possible. The instructions are straightforward, making it quick and hassle-free, and it should take less than 5 minutes of your time.

This account will serve as a hub for recording and monitoring your child's progress as a Reader in the event, and for you to share their Read-A-Thon message with friends and family. Use the link below to activate your student's Reader account:

Thank you so much for your participation and support. Together, we can make this Read-A-Thon an amazing experience for our young readers!

Student Social Strengths Screener: Jacques Memorial School is committed to every student's academic growth, as well as their social emotional, and behavioral growth. It is our shared goal that our students develop the skills required to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. As part of this process, we are asking all parents to complete a Student Social Strengths Screener.  This brief survey asks several questions regarding your student’s social skills such as responsibility, learning habits, and peer/adult relationships.

Classroom teachers will also complete a social strength screener. This will help identify any students who may need additional support or interventions for social/ emotional/behavioral development.

Please click on the link below and take some time to complete this short questionnaire by Friday,  January 19th.  We are hoping to get 100% parent participation. Thank you in advance!

No School:  There will be No School on Tuesday,  January 23, 2024, due to Primary Elections and Teacher Workshop.

Early Release: Students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  Students will be dismissed at 12:45 after lunch is served.  Please make any changes to your child’s dismissal plan using the Parent Pick-up Patrol system.

Thank you all for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.

Please find attached to this email several fliers including a flier from the Milford School District Student Services Department and two from the Grand Monadnock Youth Choir.

Sincerely,
Tim O’Connell
